Change. The seasons are changing and Edmonton is looking beautiful. There is so much change. Seasons, new construction throughout the core, political change may be underway and here in our Studio… a TONNE of new selections are on the floor. Change is exciting!

We also are very happy to having Chelsey join our team here at Inspired. Chelsey brings with her a great amount of experience in design and has an amazingly creative flare. Over the next few weeks, please come in and meet Chelsey!

Finally, it is with great sadness that I post my final words here on the Inspired Blog. I have thoroughly enjoyed working here at our Studio and getting to know all of our amazing clients. Working with the team here has been more than just a job, it’s been an awesome experience and SO much fun! I’m excited to once again be a loyal client and make my weekly visits into the Studio to see what is new!

Hiatus? No.. BUSY! ;)

Good Day Edmonton!

I have to apologize… I’ve fallen off the proverbial wagon so to speak. It’s been so busy here at Inspired that I have honestly gotten far behind in my online activities. It’s my intent to write something mind-numbingly funny at least once a week ;)

SO much has been happening here in the gorgeous Capital Region; talk of a new arts centre downtown, several new towers either underway or being planned and of course ongoing activities around the possibility of a new home for the Edmonton Oilers. What a great place to live and play!

Here at Inspired SO much has been happening! We have fully taken on the Hardware Gallery’s line of decorative hardware and now here in our own gorgeous Studio we have INSPIRED HARDWARE. Come in an check it out! We carry everything from door handles, locksets, drawer pulls to house numbers and mailboxes. As the business grows, so will our lineup. Don’t hesitate to contact us with any inquiries about any decorative hardware.

ALSO.. there is no doubt that you have heard of, seen it on a newstand and likely picked up a copy of the locally based magazine called Phabrik. We are so pleased to announce that Alana Gannon Schilf, owner of Inspired Home Interiors is now the Design Editor at Phabrik! Alana will be sharing all sorts of great design ideas, tips on how to make the most of your space and letting us all know what is on forefront of design.

Best Month EVER! BE Inspired! Sale

Happy New Year! January 2012 was the best ever month for Inspired Home Interiors! Here’s the kicker.. In the first few days of February we’re off to a fantastic start and we still haven’t officially launched our new Inspired Hardware lines. Currently we are working to renovate the space (minor changes here and there) to make room for 15 new lines of decorative hardware which will include:

Doorhandles and passage sets (locksets and privacy sets)

Drawer pulls

House numbers

Mailboxes

Electrical plates and covers

Heating and ventilation vent covers

..And MUCH more!

We expect to have those fully displayed by the end of the week of February 10th.

Once Inspired Hardware is live, the already steady stream of clients will increase and I have to say that we are very excited!

Other news.. Alana Schilf who has owned Inspired since its inception almost 12 years ago is working on some very major design projects. Stay tuned for imagery as well as a major announcement about her skill as a designer.

We were proud to represent GUS Design with a January sale whereby our clients received 20% Off GUS products when they brought in a minimum of 3 Items for the Edmonton Food Bank. This sale is truly about the Food Bank and so we decided to MATCH the donations that we collected! Thank you to GUS Design as well as our amazing client base.

The BE Inspired! Sale is on now until the end of February – 10%-50% off most items in the store.

Hardware Gallery becomes Inspired Hardware

In case you haven’t heard, last week we bought the assets of what was formerly known as The Hardware Gallery from our good friend Scott. He has been doing a fantastic job with his clients over the last year and has built up a great little business. After being given an offer he just can’t refuse, he asked us to continue on with his hard work. Thus… the Hardware Gallery is being installed into our gorgeous loft like space and will be known as Inspired Hardware.

Currently we’re moving some things around, having the walls painted and will have all of the displays up sometime in the next week to week and a half. Once that is done we’ll be ready to rock and roll!

Also… in other news we have put some of our floor models on sale with discounts as high as 50% Off! That includes a gorgeous grey sectional, a beautiful shelving unit and a dining table and chair vignette (Just to name a few).

Another year has passed and wow what a great one it was! We’ve been busier than ever and expect this 12th year in business to be the best one yet. THANK YOU to all of our amazing clients.

Modern Architecture & Design

I know… I know… we’re not an architectural firm or organization.. but that won’t stop me from talking about my love of architecture! ;)

There’s a great organization called Apartment Therapy that often promotes very cool architecture and design… spaces ranging from tiny little lofts to amazing, intricate structures. Our clients are always sending us and showing us things they love. With this recent snowfall and cold weather snap, it CERTAINLY is beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I hope everyone is enjoying the winter weather and taking care of what likely is the beginning of a very busy season for us all. I wanted to write about a couple of things that are going on here at our very warm and cozy Studio in Edmonton’s own Design District!

First off… I have gotten some amazing feedback from our clients about our website. It is continually changing to suit your needs. PLEASE… keep sending me feedback because I do honestly take it all under consideration and institute as many of your ideas as I can. As part of our appreciation for you spending your time to help us out, when you send me a note I will enter your name to win a $100 Gift Certificate from Inspired Home Interiors.

Secondly… We are changing a few things about how we reward our very loyal client base. Please sign up for our newsletter to receive the information from us as we launch our new client appreciation plan. Seasonal Giving – Christmas Gifts Under $200

If you spend any time online, watching the news or looking through magazines, you’ll notice that everyone is telling you that it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! I’ve read in multiple magazines and blogs about different gift ideas and many of them focusing on gifts under $200. Interestingly enough, someone came into Inspired today looking for some gift ideas… they just thought they’re check in because “Nothing at Inspired Home Interiors is under $200″

Lies!!! All lies!! So I tazered him ;)

I am VERY pleased to tell you that we have multiple items here, in our New York style Studio that are under $200 and quite honestly are gorgeous! Beyond the general Gift Certificate which of course we offer, we have a full line very cool, contemporary accessories. Stainless steel soap dispensers that operate smoothly and without effort, an award winning lemon juicer, “cool sticks”, a cheese cutter, elegant water flasks, candles and all sorts of cool things.

So… don’t count us out! We have a tonne of things that I know you will enjoy giving and so as always, come in.. check us out and BE Inspired!

Also.. just a quick reminder that we will be closed on Friday November 11th because of Rememberance Day.
